Street Style: The 70s are back!

The seventies were the inventors of bell bottoms, jumpsuits/rompers, floppy hats, big shades, long straight hair,  and floral patterns. All sound familiar? Thats because the 70s are back in action!...well the fashion is. All the iconic fashion trends of the flower power decade are being seen on our fashion street style now more and more everyday, and I love it! I'm a HUGE romper fan so I would like to personally thank the decade for bringing them to me :) Here are some fun "street style" pictures from www.harpersbazaar.com that totally showcases street fashion today revamping the brilliant decade that started it all.

One Dress, Three Looks

Every woman should have that "Little Black Dress" in their closet because it is definitely a staple and important piece to have. Not only will it go with everything, but always black dresses are flattering and look great on just about anyone. Even if you spend a little extra $$ on it, the dress with be worth while because I'm going to show you how you can take one dress and make three completely different looks from it! Here we go!

An Evening Out
This look takes the black dress and glam's it up! This outfit would be perfect for a holiday party or any party really, a date, a wedding, or any occasion you feel like getting fancy for! Since the dress is plain black,  adding a sparkly jacket like this one will make it pop!

Untitled #21
This look takes the dress and makes it a lot more funky and cool. Pairing it with a leather jacket and some studded accessories really puts it over the edge. I'm a sucker for pairing brown and black, even though a lot of people hate it, I think its totally overlooked and it can be really fun mixing them. This outfit would be another great date outfit, or it could be perfect for a girls night on the town!

Untitled #22
The third look is the casual and relaxed outfit. Although the dress still makes the outfit somewhat fancy and put together, adding the jean shirt over it and some combat boots really make it more relaxed and casual. Some ripped tights with give it that effortless "don't care" vibe. This would be an outfit you could wear running errands all day, or hanging with some friends. Very comfy, casual, but totally cute.

Combat Comeback

This trend has stomped its way into women's fashion! A standard "men's" shoe has now been taken over by the female population and I must say, we pull it off pretty well. I think combat boots are so cute and totally comfy. You can punk out your outfit with them and some skinny jeans or add a twist to your feminine side and wear them with a dress and some tights. Perfect shoes for any time of the year! I'm so excited I just found some on piperlime.com for $20!! Can't wait to show them to you guys! Enjoy :)

The September Issue

I recently rented a documentary called "The September Issue", which is basically an in-depth, behind the scenes story, of the life of Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine, and the preparations that Vogue goes through when creating the September issue of the magazine. In the fashion world, Vogue is referenced as the "Bible", or the "Holy Grail" to the fashion world. Its the main resource one would go to when wanting to know whats popular now, tomorrow, and the future entirely. Specifically for the magazine, September is their biggest and most important issue all year because in the fashion industry, Fall is when everything starts. Fashion Week is in the Fall, a lot of designers come out with their new lines, and trends are born for the upcoming year. The documentary does an amazing job at telling a real life story of how the issue is created from start to finish, and not just showing the audience the "pretty and glamorous" life everyone thinks they live at Vogue. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Ms. Wintour lives quite a glamorous life, but the movie shows that the glamorous life also takes hard work and 100% dedication, everyday, 365 days a year. Being a extremely smart, and phenomenal at her job, she makes it look easy. Nevertheless, if you're a fashion major, fashion extremest, or even a frequent shopper, I highly recommend watching the movie, it was fantastic and everything I hope to live one day.

College Fashion: What To Wear In A Hurry

Untitled #14
Lots of girls don't like wearing dresses to school because they think they will be too fancy. Well here is a way to wear a dress without looking like you're tried too hard. Wearing dresses can not only be really comfortable for class but also it can make getting ready in the morning a total breeze! If you're like me, and have a closet lacking color, getting a bright bag like this is great to add a splash of color to
Untitled #15
This last look is one of my favorites! Even though I'm a huge fan of winter, I am getting super excited for Spring and the fashion that comes along with it! I'm obsessed with rompers because they are so comfortable yet cute and make getting ready so easy because once again, it's just one piece to worry about. Color blocking is a huge trend for the Spring so wearing this bright coral jacket from H&M against the teal romper is a perfect example of color blocking, and not to mention absolutely adorable.
Relaxed Boho
This outfit is for a day when you want to look put together, but not like you tried too hard in the morning. It's simple and clean but still feminine.

Spring Accessory Trends For 2012

Pastels. Mint green, pink, purple are all making a comeback! Clutches like these are a great add on to any outfit.

Big chunky earrings. Dangly earring were huge in the 60s and 70s but they have returned once again! The bigger, the better :) I love the way a pair of earrings can alter your look instantly.

Tribal prints. We've been seeing tribal prints like crazy for this coming Spring season. You can incorporate tribal prints pretty much anywhere on your outfit and it will most definitely make you stand out.

Fashioneda Photoshoot #2

Hey guys! Its time for another Fashioneda Fashion Shoot and well, frankly, this is just too exciting to post all at different times, so unlike the previous photo-shoot, I will be posting all the pictures at once and tell the whole story behind the pictures, clothes, and location. A friend of mine, and phenomenal photographer, Jeffrey Anderson and I just got together recently to do another shoot at some really funky, yet cold, abandoned houses. I came to him with the unbelievable urge to do a shoot again...I was having withdrawals, and thankfully he was totally eager as well, so the planning began. I was meeting a very good friend, Luise, for coffee the day I came to him with the idea. As we were talking I couldn't help but notice how she would be the perfect model for the ideas I was having. Her younger sister, Jessie, another very good friend, popped into my head as well. I asked them both if they wanted to model, and they both said yes! Unfortunately, Luise ended up not being able to do the shoot because she is a little jet-setter and was leaving for Italy in only a few days, however the planning continued on! Jeff and I tend to do these shoots on a whim, so I started getting the looks for the shoot ready that night. I was getting really inspired by Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie for this shoot, and luckily that's basically the only places Luise and Jessie buy clothes from, so shopping their closets were a breeze and totally fun. Jeff took charge in finding the location. He was told by a friend of these cool abandoned houses out by the highway in our town. I loved that idea immediately, and so it became our location. A couple days after the coffee date, and the arranging of the shoot, Jeff, Jessie, Jeff's assistant for the day Parker, and myself met at the location on a fairly windy and brisk morning and got right to it. Besides a shivering model and some sun issues, the shoot was amazing. Jessie was a total natural, Parker was a great help, and Jeff was fantastic as usual. I think you'll be able to see through the pictures that we all had a blast! Jeff shot some behind the scenes pictures that I will include. Nevertheless, enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think!
