Being a verrrry petite girl like myself can be frustrating when it comes to clothes. However, Miss Kardashian has proved it to be very possible to be petite and look fabulous! She has been a style icon of mine for so long now and I'm always looking at her outfits and style for all my inspirations! She's so gorgeous and most definitely my favorite Kardashian :)
So, I know I've been blogging makeup-related posts like crazy lately.
It's mainly because my best friend (and photographer) has been away on vacation, so OOTD's have been hard to accomplish...unless we want to go back to a tripod and my garage door (I THINK NOT!) Ha, anyways she is back now so after this post beware of the OOTD overload I will bring to you! But enough of that, lets get to the good stuff. The same best friend ^^ who I mentioned above, got me the Naked 1 Palette for my birthday this past February (how sweet is she?!) and it quickly became one of my favorite makeup products. I'm in absolute love.
The main reason I adore it so much is because since they are all so neutral I can use the shadows daily as part of my routine. However, the look I'm showing you is definitely something I'd wear out. This is the "signature" smokey eye, but I added a little extra flare with the cat-eye eyeliner (which is actually one of the shadows that I just got wet and used for liner...shhh).
I think this is absolutely beautiful and is so incredibly easy to achieve. Shall we begin? :)
As an overall base I used Naked, its a great neutral brown color that you can leave subtle or build up. In this case I just applied a thin layer of it all over my lid. Next, I used Darkhorse in the outer edge of my lid, using that "triangle" method everyone knows about. I applied it heaviest on the outer edge, fading it thinner towards the center. Next I took a large fluffy brush and applied Sidecar over Darkhorse just to lighten it up and buff out any really harsh lines, making all the color flow better. After that, using the same fluffy brush I took Sin and used it for my highlight on my brow bone and in my tear ducks. Finally, for my liner I got a small eyeliner brush, getting it a little wet, and dipped it into Creep. I found it soooo easy to use this as a liquid liner because its not extremely damp so it dried quickly and made any mess-ups almost impossible. I hope you like this "smokey eye" look! And if any of you decide to try it out, send me a picture on twitter , I'd love to see it! Xo
Ok I don't know what it is, but I've been so obsessed with my Lip Butters lately. Everyday it seems like I'm grabbing a new one and loving it more every second.
Today, Berry Smoothie is my favorite. It is without a doubt a very bright pink and a much more "out-there" shade than I'm used to, but I cannot resist!
In the light and with my flash you can see how it has a subtle blue iridescent shimmer to it, which I think is gorgeous.
And the best thing about this bad boy is how glossy it appears! Everyone knows that the Lip Butters aren't like every other lipstick because it's so moisturizing but come on people - look at that gloss finish!!
It's just stunning.
Although Cupcake is still winning my heart, Mr. Berry Smoothie sure knows how to turn on the charm :)
My lack of posts lately is inexcusable! I've been enjoying too many summer activities and have neglected my little baby and you guys!
Now onto the good stuff :)...I recently took a trip to Ulta (for no other reason than to just browse) but of course its nearly impossible to walk out empty handed :/
As I was browsing around, I stumbled over to the lip products and there they were just staring at me. The infamous lip butters get me every single time. While shamefully looking at all the shades, my eye was drawn instantly to Cupcake. I've been really attracted to this pinky/purple-y shade lately so naturally I loved this color!
Cupcake has lived up to to its hype extraordinarily.
I don't think I've been this obsessed with a lip color in a really long time!
Of course like all Revlon butters, not only is the color pay-off amazing, but this stuff is freaking moisturizing! Can't complain here.
I don't know about you girls, but my list of summer inspiration ideas have been growing at a rapid pace!
I've been seeing so many new looks that I'm dying to try out this summer.
This look is one in particular that I've been seeing so much on Pinterest and Tumblr
(Follow me on both!... my Pinterest & Tumblr)
and I think I will be adding it to my wardrobe shortly :)
I love this bright coral sheer top and pairing it with these gorgeous white jeans.
Gold accessories are a must with this color scheme, and some vintage looking sunnies top it off perfectly!
What have been your summer inspirations been lately?? xx
