Full Glam Ahead!

Hi girls!
A very exciting opening has happened in my hometown and I'd like to share the good news that,
Ohmygosh, the level of squeals that came from my mouth was olympic sized.
I'm so excited that I finally have a proper makeup store with high-end brands to make my makeup dreams come true.
This past week I took a trip to my lovely little shop and grabbed an awesome kit from Benefit.
Full Glam Ahead is a kit made up of Benefit's Bad Gal Lash Mascara, Stay Don't Stray Primer, and High Beam Highlighter.
I've been wanting to try all three of these products for a while now so I was thrilled that they came in a small kit all together.
Let me share with you what I think of each product so far...

I absolutey love the packaging. Its not only great quality packaging, but they really pay attention to detail with the confetti, and pink theme. Adding the adorable polka dots makes for a marketing genius.

Bad Gal Lash

I've fallen in love with this mascara. The wand is absolutely massive, but not in a bad way. It still gives you tons of control and mobility. The best part is there is zero clumping, no matter how many coats I apply. It separates my lashes while giving them curl and volume. So let me tell you there ain't nothing "bad" about this mascara ;) har har.

Stay Don't Stray

As far a primers go, this is by far the best I've tried. You just can't beat to creamy consistency that blends into your skin. I tested it out with some eyeshadow the first day I got it, and by that night I had minimal to no creasing on my lid. And just to give a little background I have very oily skin, so that means I have oily eyelids as well. Fortunately that is not an issue for this product here!

High Beam

Last, but certainly not least is this UH-mazing heaven sent product known as High Beam. This is probably one of Benefit's most popular products and has every right to be! I've been wanting a highlighter for quite sometime now and I've always been referred to this bad boy, so you can imagine my excitement when trying it the first time. I totally lost my highlighter virginity, and I'm glad it was with this one ;) The glisten and dewy-ness that this highlighter gives your cheeks is gorgeous. Its subtle enough to not make a person blinded by the glitter on your face, but noticeable enough to look beautiful and natural.

All in all I think its safe to say I'm this kits #1 fan! If you are even considering wanting to try any of these products I'm giving my 100% stamp of approval in saying you won't regret a thing! And if you are like me, and just want to dabble before plunging in, this kit is perfect for you, trust me!
If you have tried any one if these products before let me know what you thought about them in the comments!

It's All About Scarves ♥

The Infinity

It's All About Scarves

Infinity scarves are probably my favorite kind of scarf, for many reasons. They are so easy to wear and put on as well as being absolutely adorable for Fall and Winter. They are extremely comfortable and warm, and did I mention how freaking cute they are?? If you are in the market for a great infinity scarf, places like H&M, Zara, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21 are great shops that will have tons of options within color, size and texture. I recommend any of the colors above for this Fall and Winter being that they are neutrals and will go with EVERYTHING!

The Pattern

Its All About Scarves 2
Don't be afraid this winter to still bring out the color and some fun patterns! Scarves are the perfect way to add some color to your wardrobe during the colder months when blacks, blues, and browns are the popular shades. Animal prints will never fail to be an excellent option to spice up and add some sass ;) Also, fun shapes like stars, hearts, and skulls can be so refreshing to see!

The Designer

All About Scarves 3
Now I'm probably dreaming when I think I could own any/all of the scarves above, but hey, they sure are pretty to look at :) If you are fortunate or lucky enough to splurge on a designer item, a scarf is a great start! Not only will you get so much use out of it, but they are an investment you will have for a very long time! The classic Burberry scarf is one I can spot from a mile away, and its an icon alone. Again, with the prints, Alexander McQueen (may he rest in peace) created this killer (no pun intended) skull scarf to add some serious edge to your outfit. Finally, Mr. Marc Jacobs and Mulberry bring some femininity with some delicate prints and patterns totally appropriate for the transition from Summer to Fall.

What are your favorite kinds of scarves?! xoxo

Skirty Saturday

The definition of feminine.
A staple to every woman's wardrobe.
Here are my absolute favorite trends for skirt now and some ideas on how to wear them this Fall!

The neon trend is at an extreme high right now, and so flattering to the skin-tone and appealing to the eye. You want to make sure to not go too overboard so pairing a neon with neutrals or blacks is perfect!

Another huge trend is leather! Mixing leather with other materials like cotton, linen, and wool can be so fun and really fresh! Leather is also extremely appropriate for Fall and Winter as well as practical. Don't be afraid to whip out your inner biker babe this winter season :)

I Will Wait

Well hello there!
Its feeling mighty chilly here which is super weird cause its August?
I honestly don't know whats going on with this weather nowadays!
But, I'm not complaining considering this hundred degree weather is extremely overrated.
On a groovier note: today's song of the day is "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons.
It's the newest single off their upcoming album, Babel, which you should all go pick up, by the way!
(**not in anyway sponsored or affiliated with the band**)
And now that I've gone on this is the

I Can't Wait For...

I don't know about you girls, but this has been a long and hot summer here in the Midwest. And lately all I can think about is sweaters, jeans, boots, and leaves.
Fall is my absolute favorite season, not only for the weather and activities but mostly for the fashion. There are so many options and fun things you can do with layering :)
What do you like most about Fall?! :)

What I'm Loving: Studs

Hey girls,
So lately my eye has been drawn to one thing, and one thing only; studs.
And I'm not talking about the boy kind ;)
I'm totally and completely obsessed with clothes/purses/shoes covered in studs!!
There is something about them that are so classic yet very modern, and add the perfect amount of edge to any outfit or look you are going for.
Here are some fun pictures that I've been drooling over!
What are your thoughts on studs?! And where do you like seeing them the most?
Let me know in the comments!

How To: Leggings in Summer!!

Hey girls!
So today I want to talk about one of my favorite year-round nessecities: LEGGINGS!
I'm one that always loves to be not only fashionable, but also comfortable!
Leggings are a great example of that. They can be casual or dressed up and never fail to be easy to wear and oh so comfy :)
Some might think they are just a fall/winter item but on a fairly warm day in the summer and especailly for cooler summer nights, I think leggings are a perfectly acceptable item to wear!
So here are some ideas of how to rock these bad boys in the warmer months.

Crazy Graphics
How fun are these!? Pick up some leggings with a crazy graphic design or picture to make the outfit a little more youthful! And its ok to pair it with something casual like a sweater, because not only will it balance out the outfit, but it also prevents the look from becoming too much to handle.

Aztec Patterns
These leggings are a perfect example of how to bring some color into your wardrobe in a really fun way! These not only have a great pattern but also a TON of fun and bright colors that make it so much more appropriate for the summer months!

Leggings don't always have to be opaque, especially in the warmer months! Even though they are similar looking to tights, by having an open foot, it gives them a much more casual everyday vibe that you can wear on their own or under shorts or a skirt!

Again, with the somewhat "sheer" effect these leggings are much more summer appropriate because they are not so thick. Pairing it with this graphic tee makes it a edgy and totally trendy outfit perfect for a chill summer day!

Studded Leather
The last pair of leggings are probably the least "summery" but I thought I'd throw them in because they are irresistibly cute! I love this edgy biker babe look that is totally on trend right now! This is probably a look you could wear on a chillier summer night and pair it with a leather or jean jacket. I also think a plain black/white/gray tee would work just as well!

All of these leggings can be found at
However you can find the same or similar ones at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, ZARA, Topshop etc.
Until next time!
