I Have Arrived

This is it folks.
I've made it to NYC!
I'm going to try (and undoubtedly fail) on making this post somewhat short, but we all know I'll probably word vomit all over the screen. Apologies in advance.
Where do I begin? Well I've been here for about 2 weeks now, which is crazy in itself.
Time here flies, but faster than usual. I swear this city has its own time-zone and sense of time all together.
So far I've...
Walked
Talked
Ate
Sweat
Slept
Laughed
Cried
Seen
Came
and
Went.
So many emotions its hard to keep them straight, but most importantly is I'm happy. I love it here more than you could imagine!
Whilst here I've jotted down some rules I think are important to know when living in NYC....

1. Never wear heels unless you know your exact destination.
2. Keep your head up; literally. You never know who and what you'll see.
3. Always have an umbrella with you.
4. Don't stop. Nothing is worse than someone stopping in the middle of the sidewalk because they don't know where they're going.
5. Prepare to get lost
6. Plan ahead so hopefully you don't get lost.
7. Always have cash on you. There will undoubtedly be that one time you have to catch that cab or buy that shirt because you spilled coffee on yourself.
8. Always be aware of your surroundings. Whether you're alone or with a group of people.
9. Be kind.
10. Enjoy it. You're in the greatest and most magical city in the world. Don't take a second for granted.

Knowing I can walk out of my room and into the city in just minutes is scary and thrilling.
I miss my family and friends a lot, but I know thats expected.
I honestly can't wait to just meet more people and explore this extremely dirty yet amazingly beautiful city.
Here are some pictures from my first few weeks here. I hope you enjoy and I'll speak to you all soon!!

A side street we passed while walking the High Line.

Out to dinner with friends in Greenwich Village: perfect view of the Freedom Tower.

My view every morning. Not bad :)

The street I live off of....still can't believe it.

The Diane Von Furstenberg officies in the Meatpacking District.

Kept it simple today with just black and white.
I did add a little sass with my new (and AMAZING) cheetah flats from Target, LOVE!
Also, I move to New York in a week...so there's that!
Hope you enjoy, see you soon!
